The A1 is the main motorway in Greece. The motorway begins at Leoforos Possidonos (the bay street in Athens) up to Evzoni (100km north of Thessaloniki) the border with Vardarska (FYROM). The Motorway connect a lot greek important Citys, Lamia, Volos, Larissa and the Northern Metropol-City of Thessaloniki.
A part of the Maliakos Bay is under Construction. The last part of the way that will be constructed is the the Canyon of Tembi between Larissa and Thessaloniki with a distance of 30km.
Since 2008 the Name of the A1 change from PATHE to AEGEAN-Motorway.

The progress of the Golf of Maliakos.

The Golf of Maliakos is since 2007 under Construction. The largest part are ready.
The last part from Karavomlou to Ag.Marina (left pic) will be ready in 2009. 8,5 km tunnels and 11 Interchanges exist in this part of the A1.
